thepocketologycollective
The Pocketology Collective’s projects invite you to open your pockets and share a story. Sometimes a pocket holds junk destined for the trash and other times it protects sacred objects meant never to be lost. Either way pockets hold potential stories about how we live as individuals and as part of a community. Pocketology is a way of investigating why we are who we are through stories that originate from the objects we carry. The History of Pocketology
I found this whistle in my pocket this morning, in a coat that I have not worn in a year.  The whistle is from my daughter (Hannah)’s 2nd birthday party.  I was thrilled to find it as it brought so much laughter when I first blew it for her.  She will be so excited to hear & see it again.  It has been hybernating in my pocket for a year.  I’m glad I found it!

This sandpaper is a form of an address book. When you’re working and you have your hands full of pant and someone calls you, you use whatever you can to write an address down.
Besides a hole [in my pocket] I have a monocle (a glass magnifier) 3 1/2” diameter.I use it as a visual aid. For fine print and to see slivers. I also loan it to others to start a fire.I had it for at least 10 years. It goes in my non busy pocket. I can’t go anywhere without it. It reminds me of Col Klink from Hogan’s Heroes. This object empowers me to see.
